The Founder, Board, Advisory Board, Executive Management team and College Intern Volunteers are passionate “change agents”, who are fiscally responsible and are ultimately committed to the successful outcomes of the Advocacy Network Resource Program Initiative and the UAA Strategic Plan.
Ms. Eugene-Chasten has more than 30 years of experience in business administration, information technology, financial insurance services, parent and student affairs, and policy development. Her career includes 30 years of state service with the State of California. Alecia earned her Business Management Certificate from Sacramento State University and received her Network Administration & Business Certificate from the University of California, Davis.
The UAA staff and volunteer serves and advocates for equitable educational opportunities for students, parents, families, individuals and communities through the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which reauthorizes the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESSA) signed into law in December of 2015 that helps to ensure educational opportunity for all students.
We empower and train families to advocate for themselves and utilizing Federal Education Codes, Regulations and California Education Codes to coordinate and align programs and services to support and meet the needs of families and individuals.
